Marshal Eviction Notice and Emergency Order to Show Cause

Emergency Order to Show Cause

Anthony found an eviction notice taped on his door and he believes that he has a few days to respond, but he just learned today that his eviction is scheduled for tomorrow. What should Anthony do?

Anthony should immediately go to court and file an emergency order to show cause to stop the eviction. Anthony should inform the clerk of the court that the eviction is scheduled for the following day and the clerk of the court will instruct him on what form he needs to complete to stop the eviction. If the judge signs the Order to Show Cause, the judge will instruct Anthony on the steps he needs to take to notify all parties, including the Marshal.

If you're facing an eviction, you should contact the Law Office of Tamara I. Jordan, P.L.L.C immediately.
